Review: Running with Scissors
Running With Scissors is a funny memoir about the author's childhood. I had heard wonderful things about this book and even though I've had it for quite a while, I never got around to reading it. This book made me laughing out loud for most of it. It was very well written. Some of the author's experiences are shocking and made me feel sorry for him. His parents are not really there for him, and he goes to live with his mother's psychologist and his family, who are all a bit crazy. The part that really shocked me was his relationship with a much older man, which started in his teens. I loved this book and will definitely be reading Burroughs' other books.

I have this book but have not read it. I am glad you liked it.
ReplyDeleteI did read and like his other book-Wolf at the Table. Sell-a-vision was not that great.
Augusten Burroughs is an amazing author! I highly suggest anything else by him :). I loved Running With Scissors and it's good to know that you liked it too.
