I do not listen to music while I read. I find it distracting and can't concentrate on the book.

Who is your favorite new to you author so far this year?
I would say Beth Hoffman, author of Saving CeeCee Honeycutt. I just finished this book and it was really good. I had seen this book all over other book blogs and I am glad I read it. Through her descriptions, you feel like you are really in Savannah.

Every week I look forward to the Book Blogger Hop. It is a great way to get to know other bloggers and to get new followers. This week's question:
RIGHT THIS INSTANT, WHAT BOOK ARE YOU DYING TO GET YOUR HANDS ON (PAST, PRESENT, OR FUTURE)?
There are several books that I can't wait to get and read. But since I try not to buy books that often (especially in Canada since they are more expensive) I may have to wait awhile. Here are the ones that are at the top of my list.

Every week Crazy for Books hosts the Book Blogger Hop. This is a good way to get to know your fellow book bloggers and find new blogs.
This week's question: Tell us about some of your favorite authors and why they are your favorites!
It is hard for me to pick a favorite author, because I am really indecisive. If I had to choose, I would say Margaret Atwood and Michelle Moran. Margaret Atwood just has a way with words. Her books are all so different and interesting. She usually puts some sort of mystery in her books that keep the reader interested. Michelle Moran I really like because she is a historical fiction author. She has three books out, all of which take place in Ancient Egypt, a place I have always been fascinated with. She makes her characters so real and easy to relate to. Also, she is very friendly and is a big supporter of book blogs.

My name is Amanda and I have always been a book worm. About a year ago I started reading some book blogs, and they really inspired me to start my own. I am still new at blogging, but I love sharing my love of books with other people. I really love reading what other people have to say and finding out about books I wouldn't have otherwise read.

Book Blogger Hop
I love finding new book blogs and getting inspiration from them. I am a very new blogger, so I am excited about the Book Blogger Hop. I get excited every time I log in and see I have a new follower.
